INDIGO is a research project on territorial development, land ownership and governance of land use rights in Flanders (Belgium). It aims to understand how landed commons are co-created, and to contribute to the proliferation of innovative forms of shared land use (rights), cooperation and land valuation.

INDIGO engages in transdisciplinary action research with stakeholders on the building of a landed commons in:

A ‘slow roads’ network in the ‘Landscape Park Antwerpen Zuid’

Alternative social housing in a community land trust in Antwerp

A structure for cooperatively owned agricultural land

A re-vitalised neighbourhood in Oostende

Supported by the Flemish Agency for Innovation through Science and Technology (IWT)
From 1st of January 2015 until 31st of December 2018.
